How Much Does It Cost To Hire A Photo Booth?

Hi, I’m Steve from Say Cheese Photo Booths in Hampshire. I have run Say Cheese for two years and have been involved in events industry since 2015 providing entertainment for hundreds of weddings, parties and events.

The most frequent question we get asked is about the prices of photo booth hire. It seems no company will give a straight answer.

This is often because photo booth companies vary massively in what they offer, their costs, their experience etc.

I would also point out pricing should definitely not be the deciding factor when it comes to choosing which business to go with. Other factors to consider are:

• Recommendations from friends and family
• The style and look of the photo booth
• Quality of the photos
• Online reviews
• How professional does the company look
• Gut feeling
• Even how quickly they reply to emails

These figures are roughly estimated on based on a standard hire.

Photo Booth Pricing. Budget £200 to £350. Typical £350 to £500. Premium £500 plus.

1) Cheap Photo Booths – £200 to £350

I spent three years a DJ before starting Say Cheese, and trust me there is no such thing as a “good cheap DJ”. They are either good or cheap. Cheap businesses are usually cheap because no one would pay the extra if they charged more.

I’ll point out these are rough estimated figures however this is a guideline to what most companies prices are.

Again, don’t pick the cheapest, but look at the other factors such as recommendations, online reviews, years of experience, branding, website, have they worked at your venue before. This should give you a good indication.

There are some truly amazing photo booth companies across the world that offer bespoke and very high end service. Everything from custom photo filters to matching the photo booth to the colour of the napkins.
